This list documents the current cast of actors and characters, recurring cast and characters, as well as new, returning and departing cast members. It is organised in order of the character's first on-screen appearance. If a character has been portrayed by different actors, the most recent portrayer is listed first. Dan later decides Amanda is a bad influence on Ryan and has him move with him and Leah.

Amanda later returns Graham's war medals to Beth and after Robbie confesses to turning the machine off, he stands trial and is found Guilty but is not imprisoned. The following year, when Dan is killed in an abseiling accident in America and his body is flown back to the bay, Amanda and Ryan return for the funeral. Amanda supports Leah, but gets into a fight with Jazz Curtis . Amanda returns in 2009 for Belle's wedding to Aden Jefferies and she reveals she is pregnant. Amanda returns a few months later, with Ryan, to see Belle as she is dying of cancer.
Present characters
Eve is later revealed to be alive and the body was that of Laura McPhearson, who disappeared on the same day Eve supposedly died. She continues baiting Peter and targets his apartment complex by moving in and assuming the identity of "Maxine Trood" (an anagram of "I Am Next Door"). She stages a bomb threat at the complex, forcing the area to be evacuated but it is only an alarm clock going off.

Drew briefly breaks up with Belle again when he discovers that she knew about Amanda's affair with Peter. Drew comes to Summer Bay when he learns of his father Peter Baker death. He's the nephew of Dan Baker and the cousin and stepbrother of Dan and Amanda's son, Ryan Baker.
Characterisation
In spite of this, Martha agrees to leave town with Michael but he ends up leaving alone after he realises he will only be second best to Jack. Henry Hunter finds Diesel with a photo of Sally and Diesel tells him they are having an affair. During a tutoring session, Diesel kisses Sally, which is witnessed by Dan Baker .

But while confronting Amanda, he had a heart attack and ended up in hospital. Amanda was horrified when Graham woke up and eventually remembered everything, resulting in him having another heart attack. After Graham was announced brain dead, Amanda's loyalties were questioned when she stopped visiting Graham and Beth Hunter , Graham's daughter, exposed Amanda's relationship with Josh. Amanda then tried backing out of the project again when Beth tried seeking legal action against Amanda. Even though Josh continued to manipulate her, Amanda was devastated when she learnt that Josh had been seeing two other women. Amanda considered teaming up with Beth and tried exposing Josh's schemes.
Most recently in the film world, Ryan has been discretionary yet fruitful with his choices of project. Some months later, Mumma Rose returns and tries various attempts to get Tasha back in her clutches but they fail. She manages to corner her and holds her and Martha hostage. Tasha is then taken to a remote location where Mumma Rose tries to get her to induce labour. Tasha tells her if she does not have a caesarean, the baby will die. Mumma Rose then arranges for Rachel Armstrong to be kidnapped and threatens to cut Tasha open herself if she does not comply.

Amanda and Peter marry and everything seems to be going well until Ethan, believed dead by Amanda, arrives at the ceremony and tells everyone to look under their seats. The congregation find pictures of Amanda and Ethan in bed together. Amanda becomes depressed and begins drinking heavily, which culminates in her crashing her car and as result is arrest for drink-driving. Amanda soon learns the truth about Kelli and Ethan's scheme after overhearing a phone call. Kelli follows Amanda and Amanda's car overturns while she tries to get away, and the vehicle explodes and Kelli thinks Amanda been killed but Peter manages to rescue her. Amanda then reunites with her children and Peter forgives her but is unable to forget what happened.
But after being attacked several times by Josh's thugs, Amanda decided to end everything and attempted shooting Josh. When Josh is found dead in his office, Amanda is one of many suspects and Peter is about to charge her when CCTV footage placing Amanda somewhere else exonerates her completely. Amanda has a brief dalliance with Dan after he and Leah fall out but nothing further develops and she leaves again, taking Ryan with her. Graham later discovers Amanda is seeing Josh West) and confronts her about it. He then enlists Morag Bellingham's help in exposing Josh's illegal Project 56.

They learn that Dan died while saving the life of the son of Steve Bradford , who gives Leah $100,000 to set up a memorial for him. Leah purchases a new diner with a section called the Den as a social club. Amanda's arrival with Dan's six-year-old son, Ryan in tow proves to be a testing time when Amanda tries to sabotage the wedding and Ryan takes an instant dislike to Leah and is frequently naughty. In spite of these matters, they marry with their friends and family present and Dan performs an impromptu version of "Soul Kind of Feeling" at the reception. Weeks into the marriage, Dan relapses into a previous gambling problem and his debts stack up.
